You're an empty bottle of horny goat weed. Or maybe I am. I rummage through my bathroom cabinet and tear off every label that reads: Take as indicated. I'll walk into the kitchen in my extra large bathrobe, (the one you gave me after your aunt told her boyfriend to kiss her ass and his mother who had a crush on her--later, gator) like I'm real regal and all, like I'm Rex Harrison about to sing into the silent choir of tables and chairs. Pretending I can make the toaster levitate. Yesterday, I became so desperate I made love to the cleaning lady whose tongue tasted like soap with a hint of lime. Afterwards, she smiled, slapped me, then, turned into an angel. I went home, played some early Moby, and threw out the bread maker and all those anonymous postcards from Khartoum. 

Clung

I'm going crazy sleeping next to your negation, searching for you in closets, hearing your voice on infomercials at 3:a.m. You were selling an electronic mop and some digital shit that can scare away mice with enormous IQs. Although I was two feet taller than you, looking back, I realized that we fitted like hand and glove. These days, everything is on hold or it just breaks mysteriously. On the TV last night, you still had a body most men--eyes as fathomless as dirty sinkholes, hearts of leaky valves-- would kill for. It's just that back then I never used Liquid-Plumr. I swirled for days, felt you up with soap suds in my eyes.
